1st trimester reflections

1. This year I am proud that i got a 98 on a test we had.
2. I wish i had done better on some of the quizzes we had at the beginning of this year.
3. Algebra has been hard for. Almost everything has been hard for me.
4. I think i have mastered simplifying equations.
5.One goal for me is to do better on tests and quizzes. i can do that by reviewing problems in the book
The other goal is to make sure I have all of the homework that is due. I can do that by checking to see if i have everything......

Service Leaarning and Math

1. The social issue that is being addressed is pollution in the water.
2. We are cleaning out Little Sugar Creek and the pond at Trinity.
3. This service learning connects to math because we can count how many bags we fill up with trash and see if it decreases each time we clean it. Also we can measure the amount of water in the pond and measure it each time we take the algae and unwanted plants out of the water.

adding and subtracting integers

a) -8+5=-3
b) you can take -4 and see how far away from 0 it is (its 4) than u add 6 to 0= 6
c) you take 4 and minus see how far away from 0 it is then subtract 5 more b/c 4+5 =9 so the answer is -5
d) turn the minus sighns into plus signs and then add 8 to -8=0 then add 1 more to equal 9
